We drew inspiration from several Samurai Paintings from Japan. Most of the original pieces from the Edo-Period 16-17 century are painted on silk scrolls by use of colorful ink. "Samurai were the military nobility and officers of medieval and early-modern Japan from the late 12th century until they were abolished in the 1870s during the Meiji era.
